We want you to maintain your UWI Connections and help you:

• - stay informed about campus news
• - learn about upcoming events
  
• - volunteer - mentorship, e-mentorship and more
  
• - support alumni events
  
• - donate - support scholarships, bursaries, library facilities

In order to ensure the currency of the UWI database, we need YOUR support. Please make sure we have your current contact details, as well as contact details of other graduates you know,especially e-mail addresses so that we can CONNECT with you.

We want you to have a complimentary UWI EMail for Life address, however we need to know a graduate's email address in order to give one.

THE UWI ALUMNI ONLINE GROUP NETWORK

We have created "interest-groups" for you to join.

You have told us that you want UWI to be visible in your area. You want events that are social, informative and applicable to your particular stage and career. You want to build relationships and professional networks with other UWI alumni. You also want to give back to UWI in different ways. Beyond monetary gifts, you want to donate time as mentors and volunteering on school,department or university committees.

We have thus created NETWORKS... designed for you. The networks will be volunteer led and coordinated by the IAD using emerging technology to bring UWI alumni together.

You may be involved in as many as you wish. For example, a graduate in Dominica might be a member of the Women's Network,and participate in the Business Network and the Young Graduate Network.

We look forward to alumni putting on events through their networks and to building beneficial and treasured relationships. The overarching goal of the ALUMNI Online network is to provide greater connectivity to our constituents - with each other and with the University.

We have already created some group networks... use them to "CONNECT":

• Young Graduate Network - open to all young alumni and recent graduates (5 years)
  
• Women's Network - open to all alumnae and former female students, wives of UWI alumni and mothers or current and past UWI students (go to Groups and "connect")
  
• Business Network - focuses on all types of business, including law, engineering and computer science (go to Groups and "connect")
  
• Sports Network - open to alumni, former UWI athletes, players and coaches Global Network - open to UWI alumni outside of the Caribbean region (Go to Groups and "connect")
  
• Parents Network - open to the parents of UWI graduates and undergraduates, offering parents opportunities to learn about UWI and find a place of meaningful service (e.g. hosting student receptions, mentoring, assembling gift baskets for needy students)

You may also create "interest-groups" of your own!

The UWI is the premier University in the Caribbean and it is our intention to keep it that way, as we continue to build "One UWI, One Alumni family".
